North Park is located in Jackson county, is a spectacular alpine treasure that is surrounded by peaks that rise to above 12,000 feet, overlooking the town of Walden at 8,000 feet in the center of the valley below. Walden is the county seat and can provide all needed supplies and services that you may need, i.e., lodging, food, sporting goods, licenses and meat processing.
It is a sportsman's paradise with unsurpassed hunting for moose, elk, deer, antelope, bear, cougar, coyote, ptarmigan, blue & sage grouse, waterfowl and many types of small game. The wide sagebrush flats, rolling ridges of aspen, and deep dark forests of pine and spruce hold that special place you've been dreaming of to match your skills against on of natures finest.
